I feel like this post has been a long time coming. Let’s say three years coming. Since officially starting my business three years ago, blogging has always been on my mind, but let’s admit it….I was slightly intimidated. I’m not necessarily known around the block as a knock-your-socks off writer, coming up with thought-provoking or even witty commentary. (I’ll give props to my husband in that area.) Nonetheless, here I am…
Blogging.
And I’m pretty darn excited about it.
See…2012 started out with a bang for my business. I have felt such eagerness, excitement, and anticipation for what is to come this year. To begin, I have been preparing for the past four months for my big “debut”. Up until this point, my business has solely run on word of mouth referrals. (LOVE you guys!) However, I was ready to put myself and my business out there, so I signed up for the 2012 South Florida Bridal Expo. Since then, I had been feverishly preparing my booth. I mean, if I was going to do this, I was going to do it right. I wanted my booth to portray not only my photography style, but who I was as well. So much of a photographer-client relationship depends on making sure you are a right fit for each other, and I wanted to somehow display my personality through my setup. Through nights of painting, days of designing sample albums, and making sure marketing materials were just right, I am so happy with how my booth came together.
I had such a good time at the Expo on Sunday. I met with so many brides who were excited about planning their wedding, and many who were passionate about their wedding photography. (love love love!) I look forward to working with many of you and capturing the memories from one of the most incredible days of your life!
Now…a peek.
